Summary/Abstract: Self-presentation is the most noticeable and proactive way for the Self to participate in social life. It can be defined as person’s attempts to transmit information concerning his/herself to the others. Nicknames in Internet though are a critical self-presentation asset. This is because, on first hand they are the first thing to draw attention and on the other hand – the other self-presenting possibilities are very limited because of the global net specifics. Current study explores the typology of communication-used nicknames by the users of one of the most popular Bulgarian Internet-forums.
