Summary/Abstract: The topic of narcissism is a frequently occurring subject of analysis and discussion in both scientific and popular texts. The construct is contradictory, complicated, multifactorial, and related to diverse behaviors. Sensation seeking is also attracting more attention within the scientific community, is becoming more socially acceptable, and its realization is becoming more accessible. The present article describes the historical origin and development of the two constructs, focuses on their essence, their constituent elements and manifestations, the tendencies related to the demographic characteristics, and the interactions between the two constructs.
