Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to outline the association between adult attachment styles and conflict resolution in intimate relationships. It outlines the recent literature on the adult attachments styles and the role played by the attachment styles in conflict resolution among the partners. The conflict resolution styles are also shown as a key factor for the perceived satisfaction in the intimate dyad. The article also presents some clinical implications and possible contributions for the work of practitioners in the field of intimate relations counselling.
