Summary/Abstract: Climate changes are a major challenge facing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) today and will have to face it tomorrow. Space technology plays an important role in monitoring rapid environmental changes and identifying associated hazards. In the last period, global warming has generated more extreme weather phenomenons: fires, rising sea levels and the much more frequent occurrence of devastating storms.
