Summary/Abstract: This article aims at performing a cross-linguistic analysis of prepositional complements in Spanish and Romanian. These two Romance languages exhibit various convergences, but also divergences in terms of the compulsory use of prepositions after certain verbs, for reasons such as transitivity, prepositional regime or pronominal regime. Such syntactic divergences can result in difficulties for Romanian learners who are studying Spanish and we consider that they should be taken into account when drawing up teaching strategies and activities.
