Summary/Abstract: Polish-speaking Roman-Catholic pastoral care outside Poland is in most cases based on its own specific structures. Their foundations were laid by the episcopate of interwar Poland. Nowadays in Polish-speaking pastoral centers often three generations gather on the Sunday Mass. This situation puts the chaplain in specific language challenges, including the use of local language in contacts with children and the youth. The way of communicating the truthsof faith, liturgical singing and the preservation of customs must also be adapted to such a diverse audience.
