Summary/Abstract: The evil of contraception is based not only on its inner objective disorder and numerous negative side-effects. To better understand it may be helpful to compare it with the sacramental parallel between marriage and Eucharist. This article provides a comparative analysis of the following dimensions between these two sacraments: the creative and redeeming dimension of God’s love, the gift of self through body, the dimension of offering, the sacramental perspective of sign and fertility (in the broad sense). Next, the article outlines the basic evil of contraception and follows with the explanation of the moral disorder of specific contraceptives and contraception methods, such as vasectomy, the pull out method, the hormone pill (broadly), condoms, IUD, spermicides. This moral disorder is always presented in relation tothe communion between the sacrament of marriage and the sacrament of Eucharist.
