Summary/Abstract: In the Marginalia section we republish a theatre themed article from 1921, supplemented with explanatory and interpretative glosses by theatre and literature historians Katalin Ágnes Bartha, Flóra Kovács, János Lázok and Júlia Vallasek, thus creating an interdisciplinary intellectual space for dialogue. The text, found by Sebestyén Mihály Spielmann, recounts the tribulations of theatre manager Pál Szabó, painting a detailed picture of the cultural and theatre policy of the time, the difficulties faced by minority theatres, as well as of the circles of power that sought to dominate the process of obtaining a concession. The main text and the glosses were edited by Ildikó Ungvári Zrínyi.
