Summary/Abstract: The expression „civilisation of love” was first used by Paul VI on 17 May 1970, during the prayer of Regina Caeli, on the Solemnity of Pentecost. This expression became a mobilising slogan for Christians for the rest of the pontificate of Paul VI and John Paul II. Civilisation of love is based mainly on faith, grace and "agape" love. The paths to a civilisation of loveare work for justice, forgiveness and reconciliation.
