Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the place of the issue of the mutual cultural heritage in the Treaty of Good Neighbourship and Friendly Cooperation signed in 1991. The author presents the genesis of the parts of the treaty concerning this topic against the historical background, forms of their implementation during the last 30 years and problems related to this implementation.
