Summary/Abstract: The prayer of the mind in the heart is the core of what is called mystical theology, that is, orthodox theology. Through the prayer of the mind in the heart, the unity and communion of man with God is achieved and expressed. When man unites with God, the prayer of the heart begins immediately. Saint Basil the Great says that we clearly understand that God dwells in us when we have His unceasing remembrance. And, even more, we are “temples” of the All-Holy Spirit, when, despite the earthly worries that our reason is occupied with, the mind prays continuously.
