Summary/Abstract: The article examines the influence of German and English on Bulgarian phraseology. The author draws attention to the periods of particularly intensive language contact and reviews the publications оf Bulgarian (rarely foreign) authors in this field. In order to study the ways of borrowing and the periods during which certain phrases are affirmed, the expressions of two Revival translations were studied in comparison with the original texts. Special attention is paid to modern phraseological neologisms coming from English.
