Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to raise awareness of the importance of using authentic content-related videos for teaching technical English in conventional classrooms in order to enrich students' vocabulary and develop language skills. Based on teaching practice it seems that this type of learning enhances vocabulary acquisition as well as the development of all language skills. This topic is not much researched in ESP although most of the teachers probably use authentic videos. This type of learning is similar to second language acquisition with native speakers. It has been noticed that it increases motivation for learning since visual component increases comprehension, learning is contextualised, language authentic and rich with key terminology. Relevant research (Tschirner 2001, Schmitt 2008, Jurkovič i Mertelj 2015, Kosterelioglu 2016) and types of tasks that are used to develop audio-visual skill and make terminology acquisition more efficient will be outlined. The paper is conceived as a contribution to development of audio-visual skill in technical English.
