Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a synthesis of the research on oral literature of the Tolisa region collected and organized by Fra Zvonko Benković, a Doctor of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology. The modern approach to the cultural heritage and traditions of the Posavina region shows people's customs in the historical, cultural, social, and religious periods, which marked the moments from birth through marriage to the final rest. It is a kind of time machine of the past and a guide for future generations, as it offers a departure from modern technologies to get to know the Posavina roots and the soul of a man of this region better. Furthermore, it is ethnological and folkloristic research summarized in the Selection of Oral Literature of the Tolisa region under the title Pričam ti priču (eng. I Tell You a Story) (2021). The selection consists of fifteen chapters; six hundred pages bring more than five hundred and fifty subtitles of all types of oral literature represented here. It is the fruit of many years of field and archival research by fra Zvonko whose interviewees are no longer among the living. The visual bridge between each chapter consists of illustrations by the Split artist Karin Grenc, who, with her works, has become part of the Tolisa identity. Her illustrations complete the contributions of oral literature, as a real treasure chest of which the Tolisa region can be proud.
