Summary/Abstract: The article presents the work of the Bishop’s Committee for Aid People Deprived of Freedom and Their Families in the Koszalin-Kolobrzeg (Kołobrzeg) Diocese. Clergy and lay people were involved in the activity. All the works were divided into three regions (Koszalin, Slupsk (Słupsk) and Szczecin). Bishop Ignacy Jeż, who also participated in the whole work, supervised the whole project. Holy masses were celebrated, where people prayed for the aggrieved. Money collections were organized for food parcels and basic necessities. It was also essential to lift people’s spirits. The people involved collected information about those in need, distributed food and medicines, which came mainly from foreign donations. Holiday campaigns were organized for families and their children. One of the needs was also legal and financial assistance. The people involved were united by one goal, selfless help to another person.
