Summary/Abstract: The role of seaports in the fight against climate change is difficult to determine due to their interface between ships and land transport. In the context of climate policies, energy policies and transport policies, the role of ports in controlling emissions within the port and their participation in GHG reduction needs to be clarified in order to measure its relevance. The actions of the seaports in their enforcement of policy must also be defined.
