Summary/Abstract: The relationship between European Union lawand public property law is mainly analyzed from the point of view of the application of the principle of competition. The „gathering momentum” of Furopean environmental law involves broadening this analytical framework. This is reflected in this study on the transposition into national law of the Marine Strategy Directive.
