Summary/Abstract: The paper presents an analysis of the general positions of African states on the problem of Kosovo and Metohija and its relatedness with the issue of sovereignty and territorial integrity in Africa. African states generally supported the preservation of sovereignty of Serbia over Kosovo and Metohija. That support is related with the national interests of African states to preserve their territorial integrity, with the fight against separatism on their own territory as well as with setting of the principle of preservation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states as the basic principle of international relations in XXI century.
