Summary/Abstract: The first ’three-dimensional’ films in Hungary were broadcast in the purpose-built Toldi Dimensional Movie Theatre from 1951. During these unique broadcasts, the image sequences of the films and the physical space of reality became entertwined, and so due to the painstakingly designed 3D effect scenes, contemporary audiences could feel that the characters stepped out of the screen and into tangible proximity. This study portrays the dimensional effects of the most modern stereoscopic films.
