Summary/Abstract: The concept of the kitsch is one of the central themes in Kundera’s novels, particularly, in "Unbearable Lightness of Being". The author denounces all attitudes of kitsch because he considers it as an enemy of art. The men-kitsch presented by Kundera is a person who looks for a perfect image. He tends to exclude everything which may be unacceptable in human existence. He creates his own world where everything is in harmony with his aspirations. Therefore, the aim of this article is to study the anti-kitsch attitude in the novels of Kundera.
