Summary/Abstract: In the article there were analyzed the specifications, themes, qualitative development indicators of publicistics and popular science texts of the flow of Soviet Lithuanian philosophy in periodic press. Referring to the achieved bibliometric analysis of the flow of the texts according to the previous points, the flows growth rate ascertained. A fairly significant coherence between the flows of themes, the most productive authors and the exponential growth of academic Lithuanian philosophy and popular science writings was revealed. The differences between periodical genre characteristics and academic writings were concisely discussed. Marxist and non-Marxist publications were discerned. Additionaly, the Marxists ones are described according to their ideological purpose, which was determined by content as well as by journalistic genre characteristics (seeking to persuade a reader, to form one's views).
