Summary/Abstract: The responsibility of reciting religious poetry relies on the performer’s awareness to control and charge the audience with emotion. The process is similar with the “conjugation with one’s own religious experience”. The particularities of reciting such type of poetry, especially for the contemporary audience, stimulates the artist to maneuver, in order to stimulate the sensitive reception of the audience, starting with the identification of the text’s energetic centre, which serves as a basement for the construction of a complex system of meanings. The public and the performing space are the most important elements subjected to the performer’s evaluation, determined by the “intimacy of the act of communication”. The central moment for this act of rendition is the result of the relationship between the text – performer – divinity.
