Summary/Abstract: In this paperwork will be talked about motif of light and the solar symbolism in Andrić’s initial phase of creation, which has all the features of expressionist poetics: turning to the sun, stars, going out into another reality/cosmic, motif of doubling, pantheism, cosmopolitanism, dominance of bright colors. Along with the inevitable review to socio-historical circumstances, we will point out the beginning of Andrić’s dualistic philosophy, which is going to become one of the dominant themes of his overall creation/ work and the basis of his poetic developmen
