Summary/Abstract: The article deals with a type of phraseological unit in Modern Greek which consist of a verbal form and a short accusative personal pronoun (το, τα, την), the latter being an obligatory component. The appearance of the pronoun is of interest in two respects: from the viewpoint of the constituents of the expression - with the presence of an invariable and desemantized pronominal form and a finite verb; and, in a syntagmatic perspective, the syntactic structure of those constructions makes it difficult to classify them as belonging to phraseology. The expressions are analyzed with respect to the stability of their form, their semantic content and their functional equivalents in Bulgarian.
