Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the relationship and the interaction between technology and artistic expression in contemporary art and performance. It analyzes how technology determines the development directions of society, responding to certain needs or creating new ones. It draws a parallel between the influence of technology in social and the development of artistic fields. It reveals the idea of interdependence between theater performance and contemporary technology. It analyzes the harmfulness intrusion of high-tech in art, by overvaluing the detail importance - that leading to an amputation of the imaginary and diminishing the role of the spectator in the artistic process.
