Summary/Abstract: Constraint is currently present everywhere, physical distance requires a social one, the health rules to be considered in public performances are unwavering, theaters are closed, festivals are canceled, actors are in lockdown or are performers of some new online theater forms. In all these hybrid forms, can the connection between the audience and the theater actor be preserved, can the particularity of the ephemeral in the theater be captured and can the theater continue its mission of civic, social and political “first necessity”? And what creative freedom can spring from this uncertainty and disinterest in the promotion of art in society?
