Summary/Abstract: Although similar in some respects, Rawls' and Kant' visions of world order fall apart on the question of sovereignty. Rawls denies the possibility of an international single state with international authority. Kant, on the other hand, inspired by the project of Enlightement, as a final form of international soveregnty sees federative state of states as a provider for eternal peace among peoples.
