DIVORCE IN ENGLAND

Summary/Abstract: The author in this article deals with the issue of divorce in England. Ву passing Divorce Reform Act in 1969 in English legal system was abandoned the system of divorce-sanction and was introduced system according to which marriage can be divorced only if it has broken down irretrievably, in which саѕе culpability of spouses represents only а proof of the failure of the marriage. According to the author the significance of this act is placed in the fact that it has served аѕ а model for the legal refoims in othei Euiopean countiies. In the aiticle the authoi рауѕ attention on the issue of grounds foi divorce especially: adultery, unreasonable behavioi, desertion and separation which were enumerated by the legislator аѕ facts that serve аѕ а proof for marгiage failure.
