Summary/Abstract: History as a discipline is an important vector for the formation of national identity, collective memory, it develops critical thinking skills, provides a dialogue with the past to understand the events of the present. Studying history in the fourth grade is a challenge, this year representing a children's literacy with what is history, with historical terms, with historical events and personalities. This discipline has always been viewed with reluctance by students, who are forced to memorize and reproduce historical data. With the change in the curriculum and the advent of alternative textbooks, digitization, history classes have become more attractive. The use of student-centered active-participatory methods makes history lessons eagerly awaited by the little ones. The role of the teacher is to design the didactic approach, to come to the aid of the students with multiple resources. From the development point of view, the fourth grade students are in the stage of concrete operations, the learning being achieved with the help of images, objects, but also the didactic game. The advantage of the teacher is that he knows his class very well, being able to combine different methods for all students, taking into account the learning styles. In his teaching approach, the teacher aims to form the eight key competencies. In the curriculum, history is part of the Man and Society curriculum, one hour a week. Along with the school, the museum contributes to the realization of a quality educational act. Lessons at the museum, workshops, guided tours emphasize the educational function of the museum.
