Summary/Abstract: Irina Velkova is corporate lawyer, who works in the Financial Services Industry in London. She specialized in Corporate Governance and Regulation of Financial Markets. She also serves on the main Committee of the Institute of Directors, City of London Branch, which is the biggest Corporate Governance organization in the UK. Prior to moving to the UK, she was the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Bulgaria. Alongside her career in the London City, she is the Chairwoman of So Close So Far, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting Bulgarian art, culture and education.
