Summary/Abstract: In the context of increased migration flows, Lithuania has become one of the countries that accepts immigrants and is facing the problems of integration of those immigrants, as is in other countries of the European Union. Integration measures shall become the priority of politics for the integration of immigrants that responds to the politics of integration of immigrants of the European Union, while solving the problems of immigrants on the national level. The aim of the research is to reveal integration measures, facilitating the process of integration of immigrants from non-EU countries in Lithuania. Qualitative research was conducted by applying the methods of semi-structured interviews and content analysis. Ten immigrants participated in the research and, based on their experience, provided their opinion on the need of integration measures when just arriving to Lithuania, and on integration measures to facilitate their further integration into Lithuanian society. Persons under investigation were selected purposefully, that is, immigrants residing in Lithuania no shorter than 12 months took part in the research. Research was carried out on August 2011. Results of the research allows us to state that the need of integration measures for Lithuanian immigrants complies with the measures provided in the New European Agenda for the Integration of Immigrants. Results of the research reveal that the following integration measures should be applied for immigrants who have just arrived in Lithuania: provision of necessary information on issues of living in Lithuania; consulting (on job search, legal and social issues); organization of state language courses and their representation. The results of the research showed that integration measures to facilitate further integration of immigrants in Lithuania are as follows: promotion of information, encouraging social activity of immigrants; development of inter-institutional cooperation in order to ensure social participation of immigrants; establishment and improvement of social politics, allowing integration of immigrants into Lithuanian society; dissemination of information on Lithuania via media; organization of events directed towards encouragement of mutual knowledge and cooperation; improvement of strategies directed towards teaching/learning of the Lithuanian language, and employment.
