Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of electoral choice. It is proved that it is a complex phenomenon that requires a comprehensive study in the framework of different approaches, which are formed in behaviorism, postmodernism, cognitivism, moral and communicative philosophy. It has been shown that the study of electoral choice is related to the analysis of thought processes. Given the unrestricted dissemination of information and the growing role of irrational aspects, political behavior cannot be explained by the doctrine of rational choice alone.
