Summary/Abstract: The digital revolution, which began in the second half of the 20th century with the transition from analog to digital electronics and the mass adoption of electronic computers, and the subsequent emergence of the Internet changed the way we organize our activities and whole life. This progress, which marked the beginning of the information age, created a lot of new opportunities, but also of challenges, one of them being security. Computer security has emerged as a natural necessity first among state actors, followed by banking institutions and companies, and finally among all users of digital products or services. In this paper we aim to see the current state of maturity of quantum technologies and to anticipate the opportunities and challenges in the field of information security that will appear as a natural reaction once their large-scale adaptation.
