Role of Jerzy Spława-Neyman in statistical inference for causality

Summary/Abstract: In 1923 Jerzy Spława-Neyman published in the Roczniki Nauk Rolniczych a paper devoted to applications of probability theory to agricultural experiments. The work written in Polish language reached a wider international statistical community in 1990 and was recognized as a pioneering achievement in the field of statistical causal analysis. The aim of this work is to present Neyman’s ideas in the context of modern counterfactual approach to statistical causality analysis.
