Summary/Abstract: The present study is the first study of its kind in the country, which registers the current state of Bulgarian museums, after two periods of complete closure caused by the global pandemic in 2020-2021. The emphasis is placed on the reflections that COVID-19 causes, as per in terms of full communication with visitors, as well as in terms of the exposure of the heritage and its transmission of knowledge, values and cultural practices.
