Summary/Abstract: Structured in two parts, this research proposes to address the biblical theme of the payers with whom Yahweh struck Egypt, through Moses and Aaron, in a manner focused on the appearance of the two ancient cultures and religions that, as could see in this first part of the research, they experienced the event of those who leave: either with joy, Yahweh working on the side of the Jews and for the Jews, or with terror, Yahweh working against the Egyptians who held them captive and oppressed the Jews. The research method is based on both Christian and non-Christian sources, especially Jewish ones. In this first part, we will illustrate how the ten plagues targeted the Egyptian empire in at least three essential aspects of it: economy, magic and, last but not least, the person and authority of the Egyptian supreme leader, Pharaoh, over his subjects, both Egyptians and Jews, both in terms of aspects of profane life and in terms of aspects of religious life.
