Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to the 115-th Birth Anniversary of the eminent Bulgarian proletarian, revolutionary and internationalist, the distinguished figure of the Bulgarian, Balkan and international communist movements. For the first time are pointed out the contribution and role of Kr. Rakovski in the early period of the socialist movement in Bulgaria, his service for expanding the international relations of the Bulgarian social democracy, especially with the Russian revolutionary movement. Kr. Rakovski represents the Bulgarian social democracy at the congresses of the Second International. He defends the revolutionary Marxist stand in Bulgaria, as well as on the international arena. During World War I Kr. Rakovski takes a stand against socialist chauvinism of the Second International and participates actively in the Zimmerwald movement. He is a president of the Inter-Balkan Bureau of the Balkan working social-democratic Federation and as its representative takes part in the constituent Congress of the Communist International. His name is connected to the incorporation of the Bulgarian Communist Party to the Comintern. Kr. Rakovski acclaims the October Revolution and under the personal recommendation of Lenin is elected as a Chairman of the Council of People’s Commisars of Ukraine till the end of 1923, after which he is consecutively ambassador of the USSR in England and France. In the paper are given proofs of Rakovski’s relations with the delegates of the Bulgarian Communist Party at the congresses of the International and his connections with the Bulgarian Communist movement. Rakovski becomes a victim of Stalinism. He was executed in September 1941. Now he is fully rehabilitated socially-wise and party-wise. The survey paper indicates that from now on the research workers have to investigate the biography and the many-sided activity of this great revolutionary and diplomat of the Leninist guard.
