Summary/Abstract: The first years after the 9th of September are specific in the economic sphere. Wide prerogatives are given to the political institutions, the economic sections of the regional committees of the Bulgarian Working Party (communists), the economic commissions of the National Committee of the Fatherland Front. The political and economic factors and motives are in close connection with the development of the economic policy. In the declarations that Bulgaria will build sincerely and decidedly a true democracy – political and economic – the four ruling parties put different meaning. Popular ideas, achievements of the petty bourgeois reformism from the interwar period are presented in the socio-political thought in different kinds. The main differences are about the following questions: about the character, the nature and the degree of interference of the state in the people’s economy, the aims of the economic policy, the place of the cooperation in the economic life, the realization of the idea for social justice, etc. The initial stage of the confrontation of the political powers is characterized with the attempt to reduce the contradictions and to search for universal democratic formulations, including the economic sphere.
