Summary/Abstract: This paper presents modern slavery as a conceptualization of the crime of human trafficking in Bulgarian and Polish. The theoretical part of the paper is based on cognitivity theory of language. The aim of the research is analyzing the models of metaphorization in Bulgarian and Polish in the crime of human trafficking. The empirical material for analyzing the metaphorical schemes is based on Polish and Bulgarian online publications. Conceptualization of the crime of human trafficking is realized through several metaphorical schemes, the most important of them are: human trafficking is a modern slavery, merchant with slaves, trafficking people are slaves, they are stock.
