Summary/Abstract: In the first eight post-war years the social structure of the party membership in Bosnia and Herzegovina underwent considerable changes. On one hand, they were conditioned by the long-term revolutionary measures that had been carried out in a young socialist society via a confiscation, expropriation, sequestration, two agrarian (reforms and nationalisation, and, on the other hand, by intensive actions and endeavours of the party leadership to recruit as much as possible members from the working class that was in the .process of gradual! formation in the dynamic process of the country's industrialisation.
