Analysis of the Financial Performance of Companies listed on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange – Before and During the Corona Crisis

Summary/Abstract: In the paper, a descriptive analysis of the financial performance of companies listed on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange is carried out. The purpose of the paper is to review the trend of financial performance of the mentioned companies and the negative effect caused by doing business in the environment of the corona crisis. The research included 880 financial reports of companies listed on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange in the period from 2017 to 2020. Analysis of financial performance is performed through profitability analysis and debt analysis. The results of the analysis indicate that the negative effects of the corona crisis occur through a decrease in the level of profitability, while the indebtedness of companies in 2020 is relatively at the same level as in the previous year.
