Summary/Abstract: This article presents the parliamentary elections in the Alba County in 1931. These elections, based on the universal vote, were regulated by the electoral law from 1926. In the electoral competition there were eight political groups for the five seats in the Deputies Assembly and six political groups for the Senator’s seat. Among the most important political groups which participated in the election, there could be mentioned the National-Peasant Party, the National Union, the Social-Democratic Party and the Magyar Party. The National-Peasant Party got, of course, most of the votes, being followed by the National Union which was governing at that time. But, according to the fact that the National Union won the national elections, it got four seats in the Deputies Assembly in Alba, while the National-Peasant Party got one seat in the Deputies Assembly and one in the Senate.
