Summary/Abstract: In the years of the Second World War the organizations “Union of the Bulgarian National Legions” and “Fighters for the Progress of the Bulgarian National Spirit” manifest ultra-right, fascist and totalitarian line in the Bulgarian political life. According to some peculiarities in their ideology and behaviour, and to their opinion to definite questions of the home and foreign policy, they can be set up to the oppositionary fascist trend in the country. Bearers of the tendencies for reorganizing of the political system in the spirit of the national socialism, followers of the hierarchical and leadership principles, they strive by gaining the support of the Third Reich, by active propaganda activity, by popularization (the legionaries), or underground or semi-legal work (the fighters) to rise themselves to the position of monopoly political formation. From the other side, restricted partly in their activity by the ruling forces, and because of the closeness of the official authoritarian policy of the regime to some of their ideological concepts, they give their support to the government, take place in. the state apparatus with their representatives, maintain all the extreme, profascist measures of the government The lack of active support by the national socialism, the pragmatism of some of their leaders, the effective activity of the ruling in their time, at last do not allow the two organizations to turn into an alternative of the regime. Their peculiar symbiosis with the ruling forces the legionaries’ strengthening monarchism show the multiformity of the right political course in bourgeois Bulgaria.
