RESTORATION PROBLEMS TO A ROMANIAN OLD BOOK

Summary/Abstract: The restoration of the book was asked by the biological, phisical-chemical and physical-mechanical degradation. The decomposition process was visible an the paper. The purpose of the restoration was to give back to the volum its health and functionality. Because of the paper fragility, the gluing process had to be made at the same time with the japanese vail daebling. The missing spaces were filled in with japanese paper. The final pressing had been made in humid atmosphere.
