Summary/Abstract: The second part of the research will seek to illustrate how Yahweh, the representative of Jewish monotheism, will confront, through the ten plagues, not only the Egyptian people, but especially his gods, true ancient oriental models of polytheism. Progressing from the first to the last of the ten plagues, the method of describing this confrontation can be likened to a battle match in which, though alone, Yahweh is the One who gains victory after victory over the Egyptian gods who are shown to be powerless to respond to Him accordingly. It will thus be noticed, during the research, that Yahweh never fights, by means of the ten plagues, with only one Egyptian god, as in a match of equals, but He will face at least two Egyptian gods at once, sometimes even to several. Confrontation can be seen, from this point of view, as a victory of monotheism (qualitative) over polytheism (quantitative).
