On the Expression of the Deixis in the Czech and Bularian Nominal Groups. Using the Czech and Bulgarian Corpuses

Summary/Abstract: The functional load of the Czech and Bulgarian demonstrative pronouns in their anaphoric, cataphoric and exophoric functions is compared. Main attention is paid to the demonstratives in the syntactic position of modifiers to nouns (but partly also to those beyond the nominal phrase). A number of common vs. specific features are stated, commented on and attested on the data from the Czech National Corpus as well as from Bultreebank.
