Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the prospects for the development of the relations between the European Union and Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the existing trends in the cooperation, the question of the EU in the declarations and programmes of key politicians, as well as system changes in Ukraine. In addition, an attempt is made to explain selected events and decisions affecting the EU-Ukraine relations, with special emphasis on the prospects for their development in the context of the provisions contained in the Association Agreement and in the light of the 2019 parliamentary and presidential elections in Ukraine.
