Summary/Abstract: Virtual retail markets or marketplaces create unprecedented trading opportunities in all areas. The specificity of these markets has also generated a regulatory framework that in the case of the art trade has particularities. The article explores these valences and focuses on the art trade in specialized marketplaces, where the rules of digital art sales must be corroborated with the commodity specificity of the art piece.
