Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the topic of multicultural education which was influenced by J. A. Komenský. The introduction presents Komenský as one of the first promoters of multicultural education. The following part is dedicated to research into the tolerance of Czech citizens towards other minorities. The author’s survey involving the attitudes of multicultural tolerance in groups of UJAK students in Prague shows the importance of Komenský’s concepts for the current Czech society.
