Summary/Abstract: The text addresses a new phenomenon in Bulgarian online media. Influenced by the well-known strategy in the American tradition You’ll never believe what happened, here it are manifested some Bulgarian variants of this strategy. The present study examines the possible motives for this phenomenon and provides guidelines for future linguistic study. The text draws attention to the link between the new type of headlines and fake news and the probability such articles to present some fake news.
